Many exciting things have happened in our church plant in Macau.

Pastor Gio Saynes and his family have moved there recently, after having served as missionaries in several gospel restricted countries in Southeast Asia. He currently leads Every Nation Macau, which is growing steadily in numbers and oversees other Every Nation churches in that region, including Every Nation Hong Kong.

Our leadership team in the area is now ready to expand the work there. Pastor Gio, together with Pastor Sam Ng of Hong Kong, are at the forefront of sharing the gospel to more Macanese. Recently, they did an outreach activity at Tung Chung, which is now starting to gather people. A weekly outreach at Lingnan University is also flourishing. Members of Every Nation Hong Kong who are also professional musicians perform in campuses while other church members would share the gospel to the students. They also completed a “One Life to Live” campaign to bring more people to the services.

Every Nation Macau is now holding two services as more locals come to church. Pastor Gio, who leads our church there, continues to speak faith to the members as Macau has been seriously affected by the worldwide recession.

Thank you for being a faithful partner as we reach Every Nation in our Generation.

Prayer Points

Intercede for long-term visas to be granted to the Saynes family.

Pray that more locals will be added to the church and established in the faith.

Pray that our outreaches in Tung Chung and Lingnan University will gather more young people.

Ask God for grace for our EN Macau members who were affected by the recession. Pray that their faith would remain strong.

Pastors Jun and Michael just returned from a highly restricted Muslim nation in South Asia. It is one of the poorest nations in the world with very few Christians. Muslims there who convert to Christianity are in danger of severe daily persecution from family, society, and their religion. Through the work of our long-term missionary, we already have over 100 disciples spread throughout nine cities.

Some of our leaders there were members of extremist groups while others were Muslim scholars. Our church is making serious inroads into reaching that community. One of them is now a missionary to the very campus where he used to conduct insurgent activities. Our missionaries have also started a school that is one of the most reputable in the whole city.

Please continue to remember them in your prayers as our missionaries are under constant threat. We will always be thankful for your faithful partnership throughout the years that has made our work in this difficult nation a reality.

Prayer Points

Pray for God’s continued protection and provision over our missionary family.

Pray for the two leaders they plan to send to Manila this year to the EN School of World Missions. Pray for abundant provision for airfare, enrollment, and living allowance for them.

Stand with them in faith for God to raise a local pastoral team as well as more campus missionaries.

Each new year promises a new hope and a new beginning, and each new year is also a step closer towards helping fulfill the Great Commission. With your partnership, we were able to make giant strides towards making disciples of all nations. I would like to share with you the highlights of 2009:

Missions leaders, teams, and pastors were sent to eighteen nations of church planting, strategic planning, scouting, ministry, and outreach.

Two church plants were established: San Francisco, USA and Kathmandu, Nepal

We had forty-seven long-term Victory missionaries are in the process of being sent out to Brunei, Cambodia, Macau/Hong Kong, Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan, and Nepal.

We sent out our first missionary to Africa to plant a church in Liberia.

Through Ten Days, 276 people were sent as part of thirty-six teams. Fourteen of our Victory churches sent shot-term missionaries to twelve different nations.

From our School of world Missions, eighteen graduates are now serving
in Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

Nepal
One of the highlights this year is the arrival of Richard and Rita de Vera in Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal has long been in our sights for a church plant ever since a number of Nepali international students got saved and discipled at our church in Victory Los Baños. They have since returned and have sent out a call to us for a church to be planted in their homeland.

In the years part, we have sent short-term teams. But with the arrival of the de Veras, this marks the beginning of a church to be birthed that will reach young Nepalis. Richard has had it in his heart to move to Nepal for nearly a decade. They will also be joined later this year by Sam and Aimee Adalia from Victory Quezon City.

Pray that a dynamic and strong church will stand in the heart of turbulent Kathmandu, and that it would serve as a source of hope and life to a people desperate for change.
